A Note from The Virtual Wall On December 16, 1967, C Company, 1/5 Infantry (Mech), was colocated with the battalion forward base camp in Tay Ninh Province. In late morning a VC force attacked the company with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons. Four members of the company died in the attack, with a dozen or more wounded. The dead were SSG Kenneth D. Kralick, Baltimore, MD SP5 James Y. Hidalgo, Uvalde, TX SP4 Michael T. Collins, Philadelphia, PA SP4 Edward A. Finlay, Albany, NY
